Luca Maestroni Physiotherapist
I completed my Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Hons) at Milan-Bicocca University in 2009. After 3 working years in Italy in private practices, I moved to Australia for postgraduate studies, particularly in the orthopaedics, musculoskeletal and sports field.
In 2012 I attended as full-time student the 1 year long Master in Manipulative Physiotherapy at the renowned Curtin University in Perth (Australia).
Then, I relocated in the heart of the City of London, where I provided physiotherapy services for the UBS bank employees and where I have treated both Londoners and International patients in a private practice in the busy financial area of Fenchurch Street.
At the beginning of 2014 I moved to Jersey (Channel Islands) to cover a Senior Physiotherapist role. After this collaboration I decided to get back to Perth to obtain the second Master in Sports Physiotherapy, where I have had the opportunity to work with the Physiotherapist of the Olympic Australian Swimming Team.
Afterwards, I have been offered a new job opportunity in Jersey as Clinical Lead: this role consisted not only in treating sports and musculoskeletal outpatients, but also in providing internal educational assistance for the staff (in the form of scheduled CPD workshops and clinical support) and in implementing the latest scientific research into clinical practice. I covered this role until May 2016 when I decided to start my Freelance Consultant career in Italy in order to offer a complete, scientific and detailed Physiotherapy service, result of my ongoing passion for the profession enriched by my working experience abroad.
I am currently enrolled as PhD student investigating lower limb injuries at Middlesex University (London Sport Institute).
In parallel, I provide private Education for Physiotherapists. Visit the section Education for the latest events and detailed information.
In my spare time I enjoy playing Tennis, riding the bike and watching the most famous sports events such the Olympics, Wimbledon and the Champions League. Last but not least, I love Italian cuisine!
